Your average librarian, going by my graduating class in library school, is:
1. Probably autistic, has ADHD, or both.
2. Is a MASSIVE nerd, but in very specific areas that might not always be obvious (see: my classmate who turned out to actually be a respected demonologist in the academic occult community).
3. While maybe not queer, is likely VERY queer adjacent. But there WILL be a higher number of queers among librarians than other professions (of my graduating class, at least 4 of us aren't the same genders we graduated as).
4. Is very likely to be tattooed.
5. Is probably 10x cooler than the media every portrayed us as being growing up. Modern librarianship is all about the library as a community space and books as interaction.
